What is Gold Member?

If you charge with us multiple times per month, it could be interesting for you to become a Gold Member.

Gold Membership provides a 30% discount off the Standard Tariff (25% in France).

The price per kWh and the Gold Member discount rate vary per country. Please note that we review our tariffs regularly.

Conditions & FAQ

How to change your price plan
  1. Log in via the Fastned app
  2. Go to the 'Vehicles' menu and choose the vehicle you want to change the price plan for
  3. Tap 'Settings', followed by 'Price plan'
  4. Select the price plan of your choice

You can activate the Gold Member price plan immediately. Your membership fees are paid through your monthly Fastned invoice.

 

Quick tip #1:
The minimum duration of the Gold member price plan is 1 month.
After the first month you can cancel your membership every day. To cancel your gold membership, simply select ‘Member’ in the ‘Vehicles’ menu of the app, and get a free regular membership without discount. If you cancel before the end of the month, you only pay the membership fees up to the day of your cancellation.

Quick tip #2:
A gold membership is applicable for one vehicle. It is possible to have multiple gold memberships for multiple vehicles.

In the 'Vehicle' menu, you will be able to see if your vehicle has a Gold Member price plan activated.

EV Charge card not possible with Gold Member price plan

It's unfortunately not possible to choose the Gold Member price plan when you pay for your charge sessions via an EV charge card. You are able to get your Gold Membership with any other payment method, as long as you don’t have an EV charge card in your list of payment methods.

Conditions for each car

In the settings of each of your vehicles, you can select the Gold Member price plan. The minimum duration of the gold member price plan is 1 month. After the first month, you can cancel your membership on any given day.

Fair Use Policy

Fastned reserves the right to impose restrictions on customers with excessive usage, or make special arrangements with these customers.

Right of withdrawal

You have the possibility to cancel your Gold Member price plan within 14 days. If you haven’t yet charged after you activated your Gold Membership, you can cancel in the Fastned app within 14 days unless a new calendar month has started. If you have already charged or a new month has started and you're still within your 14 days period, you can cancel with an e-mail to our support team. You can also use the European model withdrawal form, but we prefer that you inform us directly. If the monthly costs have already been paid, we will refund this back to your account. When you've made use of our services, the costs for the charge sessions and monthly costs will be paid pro-rata.

After 14 days our regular policy applies, which allows you to cancel your membership any day after the first month.

What payment methods can I use to pay?

Fastned app: iDEAL, SOFORT, BACS, and credit cards

Add your bank or credit card in the Fastned app. You will be guided through the process by the app and your payment app. Make sure to have access to a stable internet connection.

Quick tip:
You can find an overview of your app-started sessions and the invoices in the Fastned app in the profile menu.

EV Charge card

We do not provide EV charge cards ourselves, but support charging at our stations via most EV charge cards providers.

Quick tip:
You can add your EV charge card as a payment method in our app, and benefit from all the app features. 

Once you have added a payment method to your Fastned app account, you are able to: activate Autocharge, track charge sessions in real-time, get an overview of your charge sessions, and more!

 

Good to know:

  • New EV charge cards need to be activated first: Contact your charge card provider in case of issues.
  • We may not support your EV charge card provider yet: Contact your EV charge card provider to see if they are connected with us.
  • Your EV charge card provider may apply an adjusted price for charging or add a service fee. Check their website for info on pricing and conditions. 🕵️
  • When you start your session with an EV charge card, you will be billed via the charge card provider. Even if you have a bank/credit card as your primary payment method in your Fastned app.
Payment terminal

You can use your contactless payment method (debit/credit card, phone, smartwatch) at our payment terminals on the chargers.

Quick tip:
When you tap your card, a €/£/CHF 40 reservation is made to ensure there are enough funds on the account. After your session has ended, you will see the actual amount you charged in the session on the screen. Only the actual amount gets charged to your card. The remainder of the reserved amount will be canceled.

QR code

Scan the QR code in the screen of the charger to pay with your credit card (one-time web payment).

 

Step-by-step instruction:

Don’t plug the connector into your EV before finishing these steps.

  1. Scan the QR code on the charger screen with your smartphone’s camera (like taking a picture) and open the proposed web page.
  2. If required, enter the 5 or 7-digit charger code (for example, “23501”) which is placed near the charger screen.
  3. Choose your payment method and follow the steps as described. You will now see that the charger is starting a charge session.
  4. Select the connector you want to use.
  5. Choose your payment method and follow the payment steps.
  6. Plug the connector into your vehicle and voilà.

You should now see that your EV is charging, both on the charger screen and your vehicle’s dashboard.

Quick tip:
A €/£/CHF 40 reservation is made. After your session ended, we will refund the unused funds. This will be done automatically. It may take one business day for your bank to show this.
